I’ve been spending quite a bit of time in my hometown of Truckee lately, and I thought it would be fitting to do an outfit post by the beautiful Donner Lake. I spent many a’ years playing in this lake, I even lived a couple blocks away before I moved to Sac. It’s one of my favorite places to go when I come home, and I will always treasure all the memories made there.
Dressing for Tahoe’s weather can definitely be tricky. I advise lots of layers, that way if it gets warm, you can peel a layer off. I also would say comfort trumps being uber fashionable. Tahoe is such a laid back place, and comfort really is key. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t still be stylish!
Here is an example of how I dressed comfortable with a dash of individuality on a nice fall afternoon in Tahoe…
(Fitted: Borrowed beanie from Mom, Trench jacket from Heart Boutique, Blazer and tights from Target, Striped Everly dress from Shop Ruche, and vintage boots)
With my worn-in vintage boots, tights, easy breezy dress, and light trench coat, I was able to explore my old stomping grounds and still bring a little Sac style into the mix!
